About Mary
San Diego, California is a great place to live and work, which is why Mary Kaliff chose to call it home. With roots in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, Mary came to La Jolla in 1981. Mary has a rich background in San Diego real estate:
Mary has worked closely with agents at the La Jolla Real Estate Brokers Association (REBA); maintained active listings and coordinated production of weekly listing books, set-up Caravans, and has used and taught agents to use the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) software. Administrative support at Presley/Carmel Mountain Ranch: Mary worked for the Sales and engineering department which included management of the Design Review Committee. Mary assisted with comparing building plans to the subdivision Design Guidelines for conformity, collecting and reviewing construction bids, and preparing life cycle costs and contracts. Mary has reviewed Title Reports for wind turbine development to identify potential obstacles to land acquisition. Mary served as account manager for a recruitment advertising agency. In this role she supported 23 clients with the creation of advertising; including television, radio, website, print and direct mail advertising campaigns.Mary also has experience as an eMarketing Manager. She assisted with concept development for 1parkplace.com, a service that provided real estate agents with access to communication focused resources and tools. Mary also assisted in writing the training manuals for First American Title's databases. Outside of her professional career, Mary bought and owns an investment property in Coronado, California and supported the sale of a single-family home and condo unit also in Coronado, CA. She also supported the sale of a 5-unit apartment building in Imperial Beach, CA.For 18 years Mary was the Executive Director of the La Jolla Nomads Youth Soccer Club (501c3). In this role Mary negotiated soccer field leases and permits, served as the tournament director for their annual Thanksgiving Tournament which utilized over 60+ soccer fields and hotels throughout San Diego. She negotiated contracts with hotel partners, sponsors (Nike), and uniform retailers. Often working with disadvantaged youth to raise funds that enabled them to play competitive soccer, with the goal of earning a college scholarship or professional contract.
Mary is passionate about real estate investment and actively researches emerging real estate markets and is excited to share her knowledge and experience and assist aspiring investors and families with their goals. When Mary Kaliff isn't in the office, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and four dogs. She loves trying new recipes and travelling to far away places when possible.
